Social Impact Project for Fundraising Expert to Support Access to Basic Needs in Bolivia
How This Works
In the MovingWorlds Institute Global Fellowship, you will learn how to advance your for-good career while getting hands on experience on projects like this one.
Project Description and Impact
Our organization is a private, independent, non-profit organization that promotes solutions for improving access to safe water, sanitation, hygiene, irrigation system, and improving the health of families in rural and peri-urban areas. Our organization has always worked with the poorest people of Bolivia. People in the north of Potosi live with less than 1 USD per day, and lack access to many basic needs. The health programs we operate are not only focused on one scope, but on overall improvements in quality of life.
To be able to do that and in the idea of sustainability we work hand-in-hand with local government. We train their local technicians so they can cover more communities in need helping them harvest water for consumption and hygiene, and building eco-toilets. With the help Engineers without border form Germany, we also build biomass ovens (reducing the consumption of wood, and CO2) and school gardens with irrigation system so children have a decent meal.
At the moment our organization is working only in one area (North Potosi) but with the help of a fundraising experteer, we dream of expanding our health program to other communities so that more people will increase their standard of living.
