Project Description and Impact

We are non-profit organization transitioning to a social enterprise focused on financial inclusion for women-owned and youth-led micro businesses in the Eastern Cape Province in South Africa. Through our program, we offer inventory microloans, sourcing mobile phone parts and coding kits directly from Chinese manufacturers.

One barrier has been the language gap when communicating directly with Chinese suppliers. Our team often relies on translation tools, which limit clarity and negotiation ability. We need a volunteer to teach one dedicated team member basic Chinese (Mandarin) to better manage communication, build relationships, and reduce misunderstandings during purchasing and logistics coordination.
