Project Description and Impact

Kassanda Children's Aid (KCA) is dedicated to promoting girl child education in rural Uganda. Despite progress in increasing access to education, girls in Uganda still face significant barriers, including poverty, early marriage, and limited access to quality education.

Project Background
The girl child education project aims to:

Increase enrollment and retention: Support girls' enrollment and retention in school, particularly in rural areas.
Improve academic performance: Enhance girls' academic performance through mentorship, tutoring, and educational resources.
Empower girls: Foster girls' empowerment through life skills training, leadership development, and economic empowerment.

Need for Support
KCA needs support to:

Scale up initiatives: Expand programs to reach more girls and communities.
Provide resources: Offer educational resources, including textbooks, uniforms, and sanitary pads.
Build capacity: Strengthen staff and community capacity to support girls' education.
Address systemic barriers: Advocate for policy changes and community engagement to address systemic barriers to girls' education.

Goals and Objectives
The project seeks to:

Improve educational outcomes: Enhance girls' educational outcomes, including enrollment, retention, and academic performance.
Empower girls: Foster girls' empowerment, self-confidence, and leadership skills.
