Social Impact Project for Experteer to Support Refreshing Kenya Connect’s Website

How This Works

In the MovingWorlds Institute Global Fellowship, you will learn how to advance your for-good career while getting hands on experience on projects like this one.

Project Description and Impact

We know that funders and foundations visit our website to "check us out" before funding decisions. We also know that our website can be a first introduction to our work for other NGO partners. Our most recent website was created around 2018 and we feel that it is looking outdated and a little frumpy. The pictures are good, but our board feels we need a more vibrant look and it would be helpful to have someone from the outside with expertise to help us.

Learning Opportunity

By participating in the MovingWorlds Institute, you will first learn social impact frameworks and human-centered design before putting your existing skills and new knowledge to action. In addition, this organization will expose you to new things, like:

Kenya Connect is an amazing organization that makes magic happen for students at 63 severly under-resourced government schools. Our staff in Kenya (all Kenyans) are passionate and dedicated and care about each learner. They take ideas and make them become a reality. Seeing the depth and breadth of our organization is inspirational and funding partners that work with us regularly share that we are their "favorite" because of our follow-through, creative solutions and fun staff.

I work in the U.S. to help raise money, write grants, tell our story and connect our team with partners. Over  the last 9 years as Executive Director, I have learned tremendously from the staff and have grown professionally and personally as a result. We are a really awesome NGO that is lifting children and their families out of extreme poverty through the power of education.

This project accepts virtual experteers.
