Social Impact Project for Branding Expert to Help Build Brand Strategy
Project Description and Impact
We are a multi-discipline restoration and placemaking social enterprise based in Yangon, Myanmar. Founded in 2015, our office brings together skills in participatory research, design thinking, urban planning and architecture. We design solutions that improve private and public space in Yangon for the benefit of families, the community and the city at large. Key in our model are Yangon’s home-owners and residents, whom we help to become aware of the value and potential of historical, cultural, social and natural assets in the city and whom we make central agents in our design processes in order to ensure local ownership and impact.
We're looking for support to bring cohesion to our overall communications system and initiatives and ensure that the projects we do are effective in bringing across and helping to realize our organization's mission, vision, and objectives. You'll work with our team to develop and implement strategies to build our brand and raise our overall media and social media profile. In addition, through the branding and communications strategies, we aim to elevate the profile of overall heritage conservation and urban renewal, and engage various stakeholders/target audiences in ways that contribute to the organisation’s goals.
By participating in the MovingWorlds Institute, you will first learn social impact frameworks and human-centered design before putting your existing skills and new knowledge to action. In addition, this organization will expose you to new things, like:
Hands-on experience with a social enterprise, staff development, getting to know Myanmar and operating in an emerging market
