Opportunity Details

We are a Nicaraguan fashion label creating handmade high quality designer accessories based on waste materials. Our profits fund a job skill training program for women from vulnerable communities such as, La Chureca, the biggest rubbish dump in Central America. Our aim for increasing sales is to make our social programs sustainable with guaranteed sources of income.

We are seeking an Experteer to promote the commercial activity in the store of the company, and the recently opened Coffee Boutique. The main goal of the project is to support the sales staff by formulating a commercial plan intended to attract new visitors to the Boutique, develop relationships with potential customers and ultimately, generate new sales in the store.

Main tasks include:

(i) Formulation of the aforementioned deliverables;

(ii) Coordination with the sales manager and other stakeholders;

iii) Interaction with local clients;

(iv) Organization of a new events calendar organized by our business in the Coffee Boutique

At the end of the project, the Experteeer is expected to develop a promotional plan for the Boutique with Cafe recently inaugurated, aligned with the global strategy of the company. It will include, at least:

(i) A detailed description of the activities to be carried out
(ii) A schedule of the activities throughout the year, considering key dates of the national calendar

Questions & Answers About this Opportunity

Hello, My friend and I are interested in this project. Would you agree to welcome two volunteers ? Thank you very much :) MArie
MArie, Sep 5th, 2016
Hi Marie, Thank you for getting in touch. In theory we could accept 2 people for the opportunity, it is a project that can be worked on in a team too however, our issue is with accommodation. We currently only have funding to host one person. If you could however, let me know what dates you are thinking of coming out then I can see if we could look at finding a second room. This would mean that you would not be staying in the same house and could also mean you are not staying in the same part of town as your friend. Kind regards, Andrea
