Description and Impact

We are seeking a videographer to develop promotional videos to help us showcase our programs to recruit international volunteers and donors. This is an ongoing need and also has the opportunity to do visual arts projects with the children and teens in our programs. We welcome photographers as well to help with appropriate photos for our website and other outreach areas. Let's talk!

Deliverables

This project will be a success if your videos and photos clearly show our programs in action and are able to share the 'vibe' of how we work and what we do. If we experience a surge in volunteer applications and / or sponsors and donors, that would be great as well!

Additional Useful Skills

We Provide These Local Benefits

Benefits Overview

  • Accommodations
  • Learning Opportunity
  • Good For Groups
  • Good For Families

Accommodation

Usually volunteers have to pay for accommodation, this will be waived for the experteer.

Learning Opportunity

We are a very "hands on" program.  Our volunteers are involved in the implementation of all aspects of the programs for children.  The Experteer will learn about non-profit operations, challenges of operating in a developing country and about living in true community.  Our village is very friendly but extremely poor.  Our volunteers interact daily with children and families living in extreme poverty and are often amazed at how, even with so little, people are still willing to share. In addition, our community is surrounded by pineapple fields and so living in our village is also a lesson in corporate farming and how workers subsist on low wages and irregular work schedules.

Additional Benefits

In addition to hands on experience and a great support network, we will gladly provide enthusiastic letters of recommendation!

Do they give any accommodation, food?
Paola, May 19th, 2017
We have 2 clean and comfortable volunteer houses within an easy walk to our project locations. The usual cost to stay at the houses is $6 USD per day, depending on length of stay. If you are an approved experteer we can usually lower this expense. Food is not provided but the houses have complete kitchens and it is not expensive to eat in Honduras!
