Description and Impact
Chronic malnutrition poses a major challenge to the Kenya’s most vulnerable who include pregnant women and children owing to limited access to affordable and nutritious food rich in vitamins and minerals. This exposes them to opportunistic illnesses and disease. It is estimated that as many as 35,000 Kenyan children die each year as a result of malnutrition.
This project is aimed at developing a replicable business model targeting BoP (bottom of the pyramid) consumers in Kenya. The goal is to have a solid business model for distributing nutritious foods to BoP Consumers in order to create impact through nutrition.
We're looking for an Experteer with experience in business strategy, marketing, and sales. We need a concrete business model for distributing nutritious foods to BoP consumers in order to create impact through nutrition. The model should stand rigid tests of impact investors who are looking to invest in social businesses that are serving BoP consumers. You'll be working with our team to research our market, understand the community's challenges and obstacles, and make recommendations for how to connect with this community.
