Social Impact Project for Training/Human Resources Expert to Design a Leadership Training Program
Project Description and Impact
Village Capital, a grant-supported 501(c)(3), is the largest organization in the world supporting seed-stage, impact-driven startups. Since 2009, we’ve supported more than 1,200 entrepreneurs by tailoring programs to their needs and connecting them with investors that match their vision.
The goal is to provide employees the knowledge and skills to successfully lead a team and with an understanding of how leadership roles are rapidly changing, expanding, shifting, and becoming more critical in today’s work environment. This will allow us to have better, more resilient teams that will support our organization in achieving its mission.
We have identified 6 key skills that are needed to be reiterated during the training course. These are influence, communication, thinking and acting systemically, self-awareness, learning agility, and resilience. To create or enhance these skills we are aiming to create sessions that will focus on:
1. Successfully leading people
2. Conflict Resolution
3. Effective Communication
4. Coaching and mentoring
5. Motivating team members
