Become a Full-Access Member

Get full access to all site features and all opportunities for two years. Your membership will also help you stand out in search results so you can be discovered by organizations looking to recruit Experteers. We will also include your profile in our partner outreach to find new projects that relate to your skills and preferences. Once you are on the platform, there are no additional charges, and our organizations never charge you other program-related fees -- our organizations provide you unique local benefits for your skills, and many offer free accommodation. The only other costs you will incur are your own personal travel related costs.

As a member, you can ask questions and request introductions to our partner organizations around the world. Our social impact organizations never charge you additional fees, and most provide accommodations and other local benefits.

We'll set up time to talk to you, suggest projects on our site, and learn about your skills and preferences so we can source new projects that match your profile.

If you don’t love your options after signing up or are dissatisfied with our service anytime in the first year of your membership, we’ll refund your membership fee – no questions asked.

We try to find you opportunities that match your skills and preferences. You can see our suggestions on your dashboard every time you login, and also via email. In addition, you can follow organizations, set custom filters, and choose how you want to be notified when new opportunities meet your specified criteria.

Whenever is best for you, take our online training that includes topics like cultural awareness, volunteering best practices, and human centered design. These concepts will not only make you a more effective Experteer, but they’ll also help you grow into a more globally-minded, empathic, and innovative leader.

Our guides and articles help you choose between opportunities, find a match, plan a trip, and learn new skills. They even include things like how to ask your boss for extra time (and budget) to take an Experteering trip.

Get access to our network of global development organizations, partners and Experteers. We identify opportunities through leading global development organizations like Gates Foundation, Kiva, Mercy Corps, Global Giving, Ashoka, Village Capital and many, many more.

There is a team of people behind this site that verify every opportunity and oversee every match. We’ll work with your profile and preferences to source new opportunities that are most relevant to you. If you have questions, you can email us or use our on-site chat widget at any time.

Experteering is a proven way to make a real difference and membership is a fraction of the cost of traditional "voluntourism" organizations. All our opportunities are skills-based and they do not charge additional fees. Whether you have one week or one year, our opportunities allow you to travel economically and are verified to create a positive impact.

Want a virtual coach to help you choose between projects, and/or find one especially tailored  for you? If you have a unique request, are traveling as a couple or family, or need a match right away, we can  help. If you add our "Personal Support Option” for $175, we dedicate a member of our support team to lead an  intake call with you, learn more about your preferences, and provide ongoing guidance so that we can guarantee  a fast-track to a personalized match.

Questions About Our Membership?

We actively recruit and screen organizations based on the profile of our members so we can match you with verified social impact  organizations that never charge additional fees - your payment supports our team and covers the costs of verifying both you and  our organizations. It also allows us to provide training, our world-class resources, and personal support in case you have  questions on your journey.

Most likely! Most other sites charge people to volunteer, which is often called “voluntourism”. Instead, we find opportunities that  are free and also provide you benefits, like free places to live and/or free food. On average, our Experteers save over $1,500 per  month of international travel, and do meaningful, sustainable, skills-based work while they're at it.

We firmly believe in the value of co-investment. Organization on MovingWorlds provide you local benefits and a lot of their most  precious asset, their time. By paying for membership, you prove that you’re committed to Experteering, giving organizations  confidence to react to your requests. In addition, it allows our support team to work with you.

Your membership lasts for two years. At anytime in the first two years of your membership, if you don't love our service, you can ask for a full refund of your membership fee - no questions asked. We are unable to refund membership after your first Experteering project.

Yes. We constantly look at the profiles of our members and source new projects based on their skills and preferences. In addition,  we look at the searches our users save and the opportunities they follow as more guidance on the types of projects our community  wants. Read this article  about that feature.

Our organizations never charge you to Experteer, and almost all provide free accommodation. Some provide other local benefits,  like meals. Every posted opportunity specifically explains what it can provide. Generally, you will be responsible for your airfare. The only potential additional fee is our optional personal support feature.

Purchasing this optional feature allows us to dedicate personal time to provide you more hands-on support. Think of it like having  your own virtual coach.

This personal support add-on is $175.

There is no typical project on MovingWorlds, which means you can find an opportunity that is best for your skills and preferences.  From 3 days to 2 years, you can find the length that is right for you, and at the time you can afford.

From 3 days to 2 years, our Experteers have made a catalytic impact with small and medium social impact organizations around the  world, and you can do the same. To help you, our resources were created so that you can best tap into your skills, and align them  with your hosting organization to make a long-lasting impact.

We've helped individuals, couples, families, and groups from some of the largest corporations in the world find Experteering  opportunities. Every member needs an account, but if you’re going with more than 3 people, we encourage you to email us: matching@movingworlds.org.

You'll be directed to your dashboard where you can see recommendations and also find the resources and training to successfully  plan an Experteering trip. In tandem, a member of our team will reach out to you to help you plan your Experteering trip and  answer any questions you have.
