Project Description and Impact
Our Organization:
Grow Foundation for Ghana, a 501 (c) (3), tax-exempt entity, was founded in 2014. It was created by an Experteer, Michael Robinson, who volunteered to assist a college in Ghana. As he and Sala Sweet, the experteer requester, talked weekly, they decided to expand their efforts to other projects in Ghana. Our mission is to work with dedicated and innovative Ghanaians to meet their needs and achieve their visions. Through productive partnerships with established capacity building organizaions, the Foundation will positively impact the lives of Ghanaians, by supporting initiatives that increase and enhance formal and vocational education opportunities; improve access to basic health care; and help communities build a better tomorrow.
We are currently focusing our fundraising and soliciting of resources on the College of Integrative Medical Sciences, (CIMS); the Reform Clinic and a middle school in Okyerekrom - all near Kumasi in the center of Ghana. We have identified several other projects that we hope to support in the future. Sala spends several months each year in Ghana, working with projects and Michael has traveled there as well to assist CIMS. We require projects to submit and business plan and budget so that we can assess their impact and sustainability. Our Board of Directors includes dedicated people in both the United States and Ghana.
Our organization is solely supported by volunteer time and contributions. We are a brand new organization and are requesting the time and generosity of an experteer to assist us in marketing and fundraising through social media.
