Req. : Nutrition Implementation, Running and Maintenance of GHARAPNAA - Rural Senior Citizen Care Home in Jammu, J&K.
Sub. : Restoring Dignity to Aged Care.
Kallpoosh Foundation is seeking financial support to operate and maintain GHARAPNAA - a senior citizen care home in Jammu, J&K. This facility aims to restore dignity and provide essential services to the elderly and underprivileged affected by insurgency, militancy, and migration in the region.
KEY OBJECTIVES:
1. Provide free quality care, housing, nutrition, medical facilities, and counselling services to senior citizens, with a focus on the homeless and destitute.
2. Increase access to culturally appropriate aged care services.
3. Promote active and productive aging while improving the health and well-being of residents.
4. Offer education, vocational training, and skill development opportunities for orphans and rural youth.
5. Foster a sense of community, security, and support for the elderly living alone.
FACILITY DETAILS:
Ø Designed to initially accommodate 50 senior citizens.
Ø Rooms for the elderly and dormitories for orphans.
Ø Amenities include a prayer room, warden residence, vocational training room, physiotherapy/medical emergency room, library, kitchen, dining area, activity room, and administration office.
Ø Staffed with a manager, supervisor, doctor, therapist, social worker, nurse, cook, warden, house parents, educator/tutor, and psychiatrist.
FINANCIAL REQUIREMENT:
The recurring costs and operational expenses towards nutrition implementation at GHARAPNAA are immense given the complexity of needs and the rural areas we serve. We focus on effective budgeting, planning, and cost-control measures to ensure high-quality results while managing expenses.
Financial and non-financial donations, big or small, are vital to ensure the success of this noble cause and bring succour and happiness to the abandoned senior citizens and disabled children.
