Impact Story
When I left business school at the age of 26, I was looking for ways to use my skills to create impact in the world. On a scout trip to Mongolia, I discovered social entrepreneurship as a way to leverage my background to improve the job and lives chances of people.
With BOOKBRIDGE, I have co-created a platform for people and organizations to learn, grow and create impact. Since 2012, more than 1,000 leaders have participated in our action learning programs, co-creating 123 social enterprises in 16 countries.
Three people inspired me to go my own path. Robert Baden Powell, founder of the scout movement, taught me to step up and take responsibility. A scout’s duty is to do a good deed. Frère Roger from Taizé inspired me with his simple and empathetic lifestyle. And Muhammad Yunus helped me to see social businesses as a model to create impact.
