Organization Details
MiCreate aims to be the world's foremost incubator and network of innovators, creatives, and entrepreneurs dedicated to ending all forms of human trafficking and modern day slavery. We accomplish this through our digital network that works with survivors of human trafficking and opportunity youth at risk of being trafficked to utilize entrepreneurship and work-readiness skill building as a form of advocacy, independence, and stability.
To create thriving businesses, protect their work, and enhance their skills, MiCreate's Roadmap to Business program (R2B) connects survivors 25+ to the following free services: business coaching, business and IP law advocates, mentorship opportunities, and financial literacy resources
Through MiCreate's Youth Entrepreneurship Program (YEP), MiCreate engages survivors and at-risk youth under 25 in work/trade-readiness and entrepreneurship coaching that includes 6 weeks of coaching and 6 weeks of hands-on paid training.

Why We Created R2B
Survivors use art and other creative outlets to process and heal from what they have experienced, which can lead to career opportunities and financial independence; yet, many survivors are re-victimized when powerful outlets steal ownership of works that tell the survivor's story. MiCreate's mission for R2B is to advocate for survivor entrepreneurs and creatives and protect them from re-victimization by connecting them to business and financial literacy resources, industry mentorship, and entertainment law services - for free.
Why We Created the YEP
Opportunity youth are especially at-risk of being trafficked. In addition to their status as a youth, opportunity youth are vulnerable due to their circumstances of being unsheltered, unemployed, not in school, financially in need, and/or impacted by trauma. Prevention is considered the most effective method of combating human trafficking. MiCreate's mission for YEP is to prevent human trafficking by empowering vulnerable youths to utilize their skills and learn new ones towards independence and financial stability in the workforce or through entrepreneurship.
