Opportunity Details

We're looking to develop a mindfulness program as a way to work with our children 7-12 years old and are in need of an expert volunteer to help us do so! As a volunteer, we need you to develop a mindfulness curriculum to be utilized by our local or international volunteers in the classroom (during instruction), in conjunction with our yoga program (weekly classes) and also possibly as a separate weekly workshop (instead of punishment for bad behavior).

This project will be successful once implemented and we can see change in our students' behavior in the classroom and at home. This will also help our volunteer teachers, who are often new to lead classroom teaching, be prepared to deal with behavioral challenges in the classroom.

Great for people with curriculum development skills!

Lynda, Aug 2nd, 2017
Hi there Lynda (and Naveet, who asked this question earlier!): Spanish is definitely a plus, but if a candidate doesn't possess Spanish skills yet has all the other skills we need, we can discuss a possible placement! Please continue the process to apply with us so we can learn if you are the right fit for this role. Thanks, Lara
