This is a meaningful project for a fundraising professional to support the arts and artists in Colombia.

Opportunity Details

We are a small non-profit, socially oriented arts organization. We believe that contemporary art and contemporary artistic practices have the power to change the way we see, the way we think and the way we interact with the world in which we live. Our mission is to facilitate and produce artistic projects and publications based on research, education, and production. Our programs involve all fields of contemporary artistic practice: art, art theory, architecture, urban design, design, new media, experimental music.

We are in the final stage of completing a strategic plan that we did with the help of a fantastic Experteer, and now need urgent help in designing and implementing fundraising strategies in order to guarantee the sustainability of the organization in the short, mid and long-term. We are committed to this process and are prepared to dedicate the time required to develop a comprehensive strategy that can be implemented by our staff or, funding permitting, with the help of a professional fundraiser.

We are seeking an Experteer with a background in fundraising through traditional channels and crowdfunding.

This project will be a success if at the end of the process we have clear, multi-pronged, short, medium and long term strategies for raising funds or generating income in the next 3 years which, if implemented correctly, will guarantee the sustainability of the organization in subsequent years.

We Provide These Local Benefits

To be determined with the selected candidate

The Experteer will learn a lot about the realities and unique aspects of Medellíin and Colombia from an historical, social, political point of view.

She/he will learn the realities of an autonomous alternative contemporary arts organization in Latin America, which will serve as a point of reference in the future.

We will analyze our budget to see if we can help with some of the local living expenses. This will also depend on the time of the visit.

We can provide orientation in the city,  city tours, tours of the surrounding towns, and perhaps even further away from the city.

Introduction to local figures who might be of interest to the Experteer.

Some shared social time can also anticipated beyond the tours.

This opportunity accepts applications for virtual experteers.
