Project Description and Impact

Connected to Culture (CTC) is dedicated to building community through cultural exchange and leveraging technology to inspire exploration of Africa’s rich cultural heritage. The CTC app is a pivotal tool in this mission, designed to bridge the gap between the African continent and the Diaspora by providing users with personalized cultural insights, language translation, and educational resources. As we prepare for the beta launch, we aim to ensure the app meets the needs of its target audience—students, educators, and travelers exploring African culture—while advancing our broader goals of fostering global connection and understanding.

While we’ve made significant progress, including developing recommendation models, Figma designs, and user surveys, we recognize the need for mentorship to refine the app and maximize its impact. Our organization would greatly benefit from expert guidance in scaling the platform, optimizing its features, and gathering meaningful user insights during the beta phase. Support from an experienced mentor will be instrumental in navigating challenges, identifying opportunities for collaboration, and ensuring the CTC app is sustainable, culturally sensitive, and poised for long-term success.
