Project Description and Impact

I'm Lilith and together with Jeroen I founded the Purpose start-up ChargeHorizons. We are both burning for a sustainable social future of the tourism sector. While I have a lot of experience in the field of sustainability as a sustainability coach in netzwerk and as former WWF youth council member, Jeroen as a software engineer is the subject matter expert for the IT infrastructure and code behind our app.

Motivation/Drive

Having identified a pressing international problem with 11 % of current global CO2 emissions derived from the travel industry with an increasing tendency, we want to contribute to a positive change in the world. What drives us is our deep love for nature and culture and believe that seeing places and meeting people from all over the world while respecting the environment contribute to peace and development. With our project, we want to show that sustainable tourism, as well as social entrepreneurship, is possible.
