Project Description and Impact

Every single day, 1000 tonnes of trash end up in the streets of Mombasa, accumulating around the local populace and thus resulting in catasotrophic environmental and health hazards. On the other hand, global fertilizer prices have increased 5 fold since 2018, threatening the food security and employment of smallholder farmers around the world.

The Combined Nutrient and Fuel process is InspCorp's flagship project that aims at converting organic solid waste into hyper affordable regenerative fertilizers for smallholder farmers and renewabale electricity for productive use of energy. Project CNF is centred on a novel and proprietary technology. Our business model will provide gainful income for local trashcollectors while at the same time support smallholder farmers with regenerative fertilizers at 65% the market price to promote their livelihoods and food security.

For every 1 tonne of solid waste processed through the CNF process, it will generate fertilizers for 750 smallholders, curb 60 Tonnes CO2-e per year, generate 750 kWh/day of renewable electricity and provide 15 employment opportunities to locals.

Project CNF is in the protoptype stage. Our current personal investment into the project is not enough to take us to the next milestone where we plan to implement a commercial pilot plant in Likoni, Mombasa that will allow for early adoption, traction, product testing and market fit operations. We have been finalists in several grant competitions but have not been able to convert an applicatoin and source the critical financing that we need to kick start operations. Our budget for the commerical pilot is $200,000.

I believe that expertise in fundraising and impact investing will make a difference in bridging the gap in our capacity to successfully convert our applications. Our desire is to rapidly scale up this project and multiply our impact to our communities need. A strong and successful fundraising strategy is cirtical to this goal and we are looking forward to learn from the expert.

Thank you!
