Social Impact Project for Fundraising Expert to Support Tobby Vision Computers Institute
Project Description and Impact
There is an increasing demand for Vocational Training in our municipality. There is a strong migration trend into the area due to the creation in 2010 of t he University of Bamenda in Bambili. Our municipality is commonly known as the center of education in the whole region and education is a top priority for the people of the two English speaking regions of Camemroon who mostly come to acquire it here. There is increase of other industrial activities warranting a demand for highly trained professionals. Applicants to our programs have been turned down due to lack of classrooms and workshops. The teacher strike in 2016 in the English Speaking regions of our country was a result of the poor educational system whereas we take pride in excellent curricula and highly trained teachers - as recognized by the African Union Commission. The over all usage of computers, ”smart” devices and the internet is increasing yet still has a huge growth potential creating further demand and employment potential for students of ICT based vocational training institutes.
Building classrooms and workshops facilities will help to ensure quality and sustainable access to education for young people and our entire municipality.
This will create private sector jobs and further developing our community with a strong educational institute educating the youth with practical real live technological knowledge to improve their employability and teaching the next generation of entrepreneurs in our unique entrepreneurship department.
