Mission and objectives

Our Mission relates to building upon the full potential of a local innovator in order to lead us through growth and development. Our objectives - To support local initiatives oriented towards creative innovation and entrepreneurship by providing tools and opportunities for development through educative seminars. - To educate and promote the training of entrepreneurs in terms of social welfare and fair business participation through sensitization. - To facilitate knowledge-sharing between entrepreneurs, institutions and other organizations by promoting networking and training activities. - To mentor young entrepreneurs on skills and techniques that can enable a more clear view of a social business environment

Context

Action Lab for Development (ACTLAB) is a non profit organization based in Cameroon who aim to empower the people of Cameroon through providing quality knowledge and thereby contributing to sustainable development in the country. ACTLAB is seeking the help of experteers to identify potential donors and the goal is to secure donation payments which can be then used to address the existing issues. The aim is to set up a crowdfunding campaign and identify at least 3 companies and provide their contact details to ACTLAB. The exoerteers will then collaborate with ACTLAB who will pitch to these potential donors (via email or phone), providing them with a clear understanding of the mission of the organization, the education challenges, how they can support and a breakdown of how any contributions will be spent. ACTLAB have members based in Cameroon that will work virtually with the experteers online or onsite to provide the required support and guidance.

Learning Opportunity

By participating in the MovingWorlds Institute, you will first learn social impact frameworks and human-centered design before putting your existing skills and new knowledge to action.In addition, this organization will expose you to new things, like:

The Experteer will be provided with local meals and also experteer will learn how to cook traditional meals, culture and tourism potential  of Africa. Traditional meals can be provided upon request and participation of the experteer. In the office, there will be coffee, tea and water throughout.

Accommodation

Apartment house (three rooms) that is two bed rooms, on sitting room, two toilets, one kitchen.
