Project Description and Impact
We are running an innovative educational project to inspire disadvantaged youth through space science that will cumulate in building and sending a small satellite into space.
We have started the project in February 2020 in 2 centres in Turkey with around 20 children per center, but we have many other partners interested in collaboration in Turkey, Jordan and Lebanon. The only obstacle to starting our program in other centers and reaching even more refugee children this year is a lack of sufficient funding. We strongly believe that by increasing our capacity for effective fundraising, we can scale up the project very fast.
We are a dedicated team of experienced professionals in fields of science, education, technology, public policy, and event and project management, but we have a limited expertise in the NGO and social project funding environment.
We are looking for guiding and training from a funding professional on how to optimise our funding and sponsorship strategy and possibly grant research and application. We have been currently applying to some grants in the UK and have secured a few private donors but we are still far from our fundraising goal and we would be very interested to learn and explore different possibilities.
We are especially looking for support developing:
- Effective Fundraising Strategy
- Tips on grants research and application
- Funding proposal template development
- Private sponsorship procurement
- Donor communications strategy
- Online donations profiles
