We specialise in honey traceability, bee health, honey production and Enhancing honey value chain, thus addressing, quality standards, lack of access to markets, absence of formal vocational qualifications or training and fundamentally a complete lack of comprehensive, real time, geospatial data on which to base future strategies. We work with farmers and communities from across the continent. Our focus goes beyond honey production. We’re on a mission to safeguard and sustain environment through honeybees, for the livelihood of bee-kind, bee farmer and honey consumers.

Our overall objective is to conserve and protect bee forage resources(forests) and their habitat through sustainable mitigation and adaptation measures thereby enhancing climate resilience of apiculture communities. It will contribute to Africa’s climate change stabilization initiatives and by extension to the realization of the continent’s Climate Change Policy objectives.

Impact Story

The African beekeeping sector is experiencing a boost in production, however, many countries fail to meet EU criteria due to widespread use of pesticides and lack of testing capacity. Through our existence,   we are able to address lack of traceability and testing of African honey for contaminants which pose a risk to human and animal health. Through our technology, we have been able to safeguarding the African honey industry which is crucial for: reforestation thereby addressing climate change, pollination services thus addressing food security, nutritious food source and improved income prospects (especially for women).

Through our texistance, we have been able to create a huge impact: Consumers/Industry: Food Safety, Quality Assurance, Traceability; Small-holders: Working towards a resilient supply chain through sustainable agricultural practices; Business and governments: Benefit from access to public database to monitor honey quality; Policymakers/Govenrments: Engage with relevant national policy departments early on to formulate food regulation and environmental policies; Commercialisation: Affordable testing solutions for all stakeholders in the sector; 5,326 livelihoods improved within 1 year through earning substantial income and Over 24ha of dryland restored through tree planting(Bee forage).
