Project Description and Impact

MovingWorlds operates a global platform that convenes partners from all sectors to build a more equitable, just, and sustainable economy by empowering social enterprises, and the people working with — and within — them.

Context

The MovingWorlds TRANSFORM Support Hub provides on-going and on-demand capacity building support to social enterprises around the world. To deliver this support, MovingWorlds operates a platform that provides community, on-demand learning (i.e. LMS), and its own custom matching site. The MovingWorlds platform also has a centralized “customer data platform” that unites data from these different web-apps, along with other business process software like emails, notifications, reporting, etc.. As the TRANSFORM Support Hub continues to grow, improving the speed of data integration and ensuring quality of the data is becoming increasingly important. We are looking for a team with skills in data integrations, ERP planning, web app and integration architecture, architecture-level engineering/coding, and web app integration / software development support.

Today in MovingWorlds software ecosystem we use 3rd party tool Skyvia to integrate data between our services - NodeJS platform and Zoho ERP ecosystem. The current setup has some limitations, e.g. up to 2h data integration delay. The project is to improve data integration by building a more robust data integration pipeline and be able to support more integrations in the future.
