Social Impact Project for Transforming a Manual Child Development Assessment Tool
Project Description and Impact
We designed a monitoring and evaluation tool that evaluates and observes each child's progress as they receive arts education empowerment from our organisation. The observation happens over a given period according to 5 areas 1) creative development, 2) emotional development, 3) social interaction skills, 4) general development, and 5) Self-efficacy. The tool is working well but because of the manual way of entering data, some information about a child goes missing or is not perfectly interpreted, and above all, very tedious considering our strategy to scale. We are looking for technical support to enable us to develop a system that understands the manual tool we have and re-engineers it to be ready for digital use. It should be a tool easy to use for our facilitators (to collect data) and also collect information that is easy to analyse and navigate by the organization. Also, it is important to have a clear overview and evidence of the impact through data analysis to showcase to external stakeholders as well as to learn how the impact our program is having on a child so that we can respond accordingly.
