Project Description and Impact

TruthHackers is a new nonprofit tackling the urgent challenge of misinformation, which erodes trust, divides communities, and undermines democratic engagement. We create educational media, interactive tools, and public awareness campaigns to help people—especially students and educators—develop critical thinking and fact-checking skills.

As a young organization, we need to build a reliable funding base to sustain and expand our programs. Our small team is deeply committed but has limited capacity for dedicated fundraising and grant writing. We’re seeking skilled volunteer support to help us identify funding opportunities, craft compelling proposals, and develop a streamlined fundraising process. This will allow us to focus more energy on delivering our programs while ensuring we have the resources to grow our impact.

Learning Opportunity

By working with TruthHackers, an experteer will gain firsthand experience applying their skills to one of today’s most pressing global challenges—combating misinformation. They’ll see how educational media, original films, and interactive campaigns can shift public understanding, and how we use data to measure and improve our impact. They’ll also get an inside view of building a nonprofit from the ground up, working closely with a small, creative team of educators, filmmakers, and strategists who approach serious issues with innovation and a sense of play.
