Social Impact Project for Healthy Futures: Supporting Program Operations at Seed Junior School

Project Description and Impact

Seed Junior School was established under the objectives of Kassanda Children’s Aid to provide education and care for vulnerable and orphaned children in the community. As part of our holistic approach, we have implemented nutrition programs to ensure that children grow healthy, strong, and able to thrive academically.

Despite these efforts, we lack systematic data to measure the effectiveness and impact of our nutrition interventions. This makes it challenging to improve program outcomes, optimize resources, and ensure the long-term well-being of the children.

Support is needed to:

Conduct a comprehensive impact assessment of the nutrition programs.

Build the capacity of our staff to monitor, evaluate, and improve interventions.

Generate actionable recommendations to enhance children’s health outcomes.

Strengthen the school’s programs for sustainable growth and readiness for potential future support or partnerships.

This support will help Kassanda Children’s Aid ensure that Seed Junior School fully meets its mission of nurturing healthy, well-educated children in a safe and supportive environment.

Learning Opportunity

By working remotely with Kassanda Children’s Aid and Seed Junior School, the experteer will gain experience in supporting nutrition program assessments in a real-world orphanage school setting. They will learn how to:

Design and guide impact assessments and data collection processes remotely.

Analyze and interpret nutrition and health data from a community-based educational program.

Provide actionable recommendations to improve program effectiveness.

Support program sustainability and improvement through virtual collaboration with staff.

This remote engagement offers the experteer practical exposure to program evaluation, child nutrition initiatives, and virtual project management in a meaningful social impact context.
