Social Impact Project for Technical Support (Data & ML) for Launching Little Dreamers Beta — SAP Germany Cohort
Project Description and Impact
Little Dreamers is an AI-driven baby sleep coaching app that identifies and addresses baby sleep challenges based on individual sleep tracking data. It helps parents build healthy sleep habits tailored to their baby’s natural rhythm. The idea was born from our own experience as first-time parents — we’ve lived through the exhaustion and uncertainty that comes with baby sleep challenges. That personal journey fuels our deep motivation and enthusiasm to build a solution that genuinely helps families like ours. We're not just creating a product; we're solving a problem we understand intimately.
We’ve already tested our MVP with over 50 parents and used their feedback to refine and prioritize features. We've built a solid foundation: an AI chat coach, a rule-based sleep prediction tool, manual logging for sleep and feeds, and a visual insights dashboard—all powered by a secure, scalable backend using Supabase and Postgres.
However, we now face a critical bottleneck: our small team lacks the machine learning and data infrastructure expertise needed to take the product to the next level. Our current prediction logic is static; we want to evolve it into a truly intelligent, adaptive system. We also want to improve the emotional intelligence of the AI coach and build smarter notifications that support parents in real time.
To reach product-market fit, we must get the right experts on board to accelerate our build–test–learn cycle. In today’s fast-moving AI landscape, iteration speed is everything—and right now, that’s our biggest constraint.
Support from the SAP team would help us unlock that next phase of growth—transforming a strong MVP into a truly intelligent, emotionally supportive, and scalable digital coach for sleep-deprived parents everywhere.
Learning Opportunity
An experteer working with Little Dreamers will gain hands-on insight into the fast-paced world of early-stage digital startup which is at the intersection of AI, parenting, and behavior-driven (integrated with IoT tracking) product design.
They’ll get to work closely with highly mission driven, open-minded founders, and contribute directly to shaping a product as it prepares for Beta launch. It’s an opportunity to influence key decisions in product strategy, go-to-market, and user experience, while tackling real-world challenges like resource limitations, global market positioning, and legal uncertainty in a health-adjacent app.
They’ll also experience firsthand the complexities and rewards of building tech that aims to improve family wellbeing — and the nuances of launching in a cross-cultural market like Germany with global user potential.
