Social Impact Project for Growth and Retention Strategy for Teams and Sponsors in Robótica Extrema
How This Works
As part of the TRANSFORM Support Hub, you will learn how to advance your career while getting hands on experience on projects like this one.
Project Description and Impact
Robótica Extrema was founded in 2007 with the goal of promoting STEM education and fostering technological talent through robotics. Since its inception, it has been a key space for innovation and learning, attracting teams from various regions of the country.
In its early years, most participating teams came from the public sector. However, relying on this sector has proven unsustainable due to government and education policy changes, leading to fluctuations in the number of registered teams each year. This has prevented the event from achieving steady and sustainable growth.
Our organization is seeking support to:
- Optimize the team recruitment process by diversifying participation and reducing dependency on the public sector.
- Strengthen team retention by offering incentives, training, and ongoing support to encourage long-term participation.
- Develop a solid sponsorship model to attract and secure strategic partners to fund both teams and the event.
- Enhance the experience for participants and sponsors through innovative strategies that reinforce the impact and positioning of Robótica Extrema.
Through this project, we aim to ensure the growth and sustainability of Robótica Extrema and provide more young people in Colombia with access to learning opportunities in robotics and technology.
Learning Opportunity
Through this experience, the experteer will gain insight into how robotics competitions inspire young people to explore STEM, as well as the challenges involved in expanding and sustaining an educational program.
They will also have the opportunity to see firsthand the impact of robotics education in Latin America and the opportunities it creates for young people. Working alongside a committed team, they can exchange ideas and share perspectives on event management, fundraising, and community engagement.
We hope this will be a valuable learning experience for both sides, allowing us to collaborate, share knowledge, and strengthen Robótica Extrema together.
