Project Description and Impact

GreenLift is a for-profit social enterprise that provides stormwater management and environmental restoration services. It focuses on removing invasive species, conducting conservation-focused landscaping, and engaging in reforestation and afforestation projects. GreenLift also transforms removed invasive plants into eco-friendly products, adding a sustainable product line to its offerings.

A central part of GreenLift’s mission is to employ returning citizens, giving them job training and meaningful employment opportunities in the environmental sector. The organization operates primarily in the Baltimore metro area and Anne Arundel County, with plans to expand its services and reach new markets, including offshore wind. Through partnerships with local environmental nonprofits and community organizations, GreenLift aims to restore and conserve natural spaces while supporting a resilient and equitable society.
