Project Description and Impact
Circular Cities Asia is now in its 4th year of focusing our efforts on youth capacity building and innovation - working with universities and young people to fill the circular economy education gap and providing opportunities for local people to develop local solutions to local issues.
Our innovation programmes have been very popular, particularly with universities in the Philippines. We have been supporting young innovators to build business models that solve environmental waste issues in their local communities, and building a curriculum to teach circular economy principles through a lean innnovation lens.
For many reasons, we are now at a turning point, and we need to identify our most optimal business/operating model and the key strategic approaches to achieve this and ensure we can sustain ourselves and continue offering our programmes.
We are now looking for a person or team with with experience in market research and strategic analysis who can provide business model development and strategic planning skills to assist us in our mission.
We are a small team you would work primarily with our Director. The scope of the project and time involved could be agreed in a briefing call.
Learning Opportunity
You might be looking to gain practical experience in strategic research, marketing analysis, and business development within the social enterprise sector, or you might be interested in conducting research into the markets we operate in (South, SE Asia) to learn more about sustainability and the environmental and political landscapes in those regions. You might also be attracted to working with an organisation that is focused on young innovation, education, mentoring and leadership, and perhaps passionate about youth entrepreneurship or how start ups and innovation can be beneficial to advancing the circular econony and better environmental outcomes.
