Social Impact Project for Empowering Regeneration: Automating Transparency and Collaboration for Local Producers
How This Works

Project Description and Impact
Casa Común is deeply committed to empowering local producers and fostering a regenerative economy in Barichara. At the heart of this mission is our community shop, which connects over 110 producers with consumers through 900 locally crafted products. This shop ensures that value stays within the community, creating equitable economic opportunities and strengthening social bonds.
Currently, sales are tracked through a POS system, and monthly reports for producers are generated manually using spreadsheets. This process, while functional, is time-consuming, prone to errors, and limits our ability to scale or provide timely insights. As Casa Común continues to grow, this manual approach is becoming a bottleneck that hinders our capacity to serve producers efficiently and transparently.
To fulfill our mission and optimize value flows within the community, we need support to automate this reporting process. By implementing an automated system, we can ensure producers have real-time access to accurate sales data, empowering them to make informed decisions and grow their businesses. Additionally, automating this process will free up staff time, enabling Casa Común to focus on expanding its impact and supporting more regenerative initiatives. This project is crucial for scaling our operations while maintaining the trust and collaboration that are central to our vision.
