Fundraising for reusable pad machinery

Our goal is to create an equal opportunity for girls to attend school just like boys. We want to provide reusable sanitary pads to girls in primary schools so that they do not miss school or drop out due to menstrual hygiene related issues. There is a saying that if you educate a girl child, you educate a nation. We believe that our work today will have an impact on generations to come.

In the last year, we reached over 1,000 girls with menstrual hygiene training and also gave out over 600 reusable sanitary pads (raised on social media). We then realised that its not sustainable and the pads are expensive ($2). We therefore came up with the idea of a social enterprise where we make our own pads that meet the market standards and sell them to the public. This way, for every pad sold, we can donate one to a girl that needs it to stay in school. But to be able to achieve this, we need to fundraise an amount of $5,000 that will cater for machinery, training and materials for the first 100 packets of reusable sanitary pads.
