Innovative Textiles

We are a textile engineering and fashion company that uses Cambodian lotus stems to create a silk-like fabric- considered one of the most eco-friendly fabrics in the world. They boast 15 years experience experimenting with local natural fibers: lotus, pineapple, banana, water lily, romchek, kapok, papyrus, palm, silk, coconut, water hyacinth, rice leaves.

Constantly researching and innovating, Samatoa wants to break new ground in 2018 with a newly invented fiber composite composed of up-cycled product waste (lotus stems) and recycled plastic bottles. This new fabric will reduce plastic waste in Cambodia and could revolutionize the very polluting fashion industry, in a perfect circular economy.
