Social Impact Project for Mobile Application for Endangered Languages
How This Works
In the MovingWorlds Institute Global Fellowship, you will learn how to advance your for-good career while getting hands on experience on projects like this one.
Project Description and Impact
7000 Languages has been in the development of a mobile application for the past year. We are excited about the potential of this new technology. The goal of the app is to allow users of endangered languages to create language learning materials for distribution in their community. Currently, we have a proof of concept and several engaged Indigenous communities who can test the app to give feedback. We also have a contracted developer to make changes to the app. This consulting role would lend their expertise to the project, help facilitate testing with the community members, and guide us in creating a plan with the next steps for the app.
