Impact Story
Mexico is the 10th most populous nation in the world with 130 million habitants, with a universe of over 29 million with vulnerability in health. The term "vulnerability in health" refers to a multidimensional condition where there is a lack of protection for specific groups, with particular health problems whose causes range from lack of trained health personnel, lack of family, social, economic and institutional support for care and minimize health risks. COFAS Hospitals achieve anually a direct impact on 26 municipalities classified with high marginality index in the states of Mexico, Michoacan, Chiapas and Queretaro, serving more than 95K patients and providing 262K medical services.
