Organization Details

NicaPhoto's focus is on educational support, as we believe the most effective way to break the cycle of poverty is through education.

Our approach is holistic and our focus is on a healthy development of the whole child. We provide tutoring and reinforcement with an emphasize on Spanish and Math. We have a staff psychologist responsible for our girls and boys groups, parent's circle and individual cases. Our programing includes Level Up Village STEAM classes, soccer teams, martial arts, photography, dance, chorus, and workshops on health and nutrition. At the center of our programming is a youth run, bio-intensive, organic garden. We also provide a hot, nutritious lunch, as hunger and malnutrition are common issues among our families.
