Impact Story
MarhaCar is an aid delivery system that gets important aid items delivered from warehouses to camps.
MarhaCar started operating in Lesvos in December 2015 and is now expanding to the Greek mainland.
The team is composed of coordinators dotted all around the world to provide services throughout the day. That includes people in the US, Malaysia, Switzerland, Greece and more.
Coordinators monitor requests from camps and confirm availability of items in all warehouses around the island.Volunteer drivers on the ground are dispatched to pick up and deliver.
As a result, camps are always stocked with essential items and ready to deal with emergency arrivals as well as the daily needs!
MarhaCar was the first initiative that allowed camps to gain access to all warehouses and acted as a catalyst for donations that had been sitting in warehouses to reach refugees!
