Impact Story

Given the extreme situation, and everyday problems as in the lack of electricity, borders closure and political instability, the Gaza strip is a fertile field for opportunities and possibilities for the development of the whole community. Many startup events and competitions in the recent years have fired up the talent and drive for starting self sustained startups. Major international organizations and local donors are also funneling their support into future businesses, where the Gaza strip has witnessed a few success stories of entrepreneurs who managed to get some investments from abroad, and others that managed to tap into large-scale customers from the MENA region and in Europe. Today, startups from Gaza are on par with their peers overseas and are competing with regional startups in international events.

Still, lots of efforts are needed, particularly in developing the businesses and receiving the right advice for the local entrepreneurs, and this is where Movingworlds is critical: we aim to connect startup groups with expertees with interest and skills to help Gaza's established and new startups put their foot on the road of success towards creating sustainable businesses.
