AliceCode is a nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering girls aged 9 to 18 by providing them with an early, hands-on introduction to computer science and technology. Through multi-year training programs, workshops, and mentorship, AliceCode helps participants develop coding skills, creative thinking, and leadership abilities, while connecting them with role models from academia and the tech industry. By removing barriers and offering accessible STEM experiences, the organization aims to inspire and prepare the next generation of young women to excel in high-demand technology fields and create a broader impact on gender equality in Israel’s innovation landscape.
Impact Story
AliceCode was established to address a clear gap: girls often lack early exposure to technology and, as a result, miss out on the chance to develop the confidence and skills needed to thrive in high-demand STEM fields. By offering long-term training programs and access to diverse role models, we aim to spark curiosity, encourage creativity, and foster leadership potential among girls aged 9 to 18. We believe that by nurturing their passion for coding and innovation in a supportive, inclusive environment, we can help them overcome social and educational barriers and positively impact both their future career paths and the tech industry at large.
This vision has led to demonstrable results: in 2023 alone, 350 participants enrolled in our programs, with 92% continuing to advanced STEM tracks. Some have gone on to join specialized technology units in the Israeli Defense Forces or secure their very first positions in local hi-tech companies. Beyond these impressive figures, the girls we work with develop increased self-esteem, problem-solving abilities, and teamwork skills—attributes that extend into their personal lives and shape the next generation of leaders. By consistently refining our training, mentorship, and outreach strategies, we remain committed to closing the gender gap in tech and propelling young women toward rewarding, impactful careers
