Organization Details

Groundbreaker Talents is determined to close the global tech talent gap, promote diversity in the tech sector, and create real career opportunities for women in Africa. At our non-profit residential tech campus in Uganda, ambitious young women train on scholarships to become tech professionals in partnership with leading companies. The vision is to build Africa’s biggest female tech campus, turning overlooked potential into real talent through the right support system.

Impact Story

By 2030, the global tech industry will face a shortage of 85 million skilled workers. At the same time, thousands of talented young women in Uganda lack access to quality education and career opportunities in tech. Groundbreaker Talents exists to bridge this gap. We provide a fully-funded software engineering program and a Bachelor’s specialization in Artificial Intelligence, equipping women with the skills, confidence, and networks they need to thrive in the industry. Our training ensures that talent—not background—determines opportunity.

The results speak for themselves. Just seven weeks after graduation, 100% of our students secure jobs in tech, working in Uganda’s startup ecosystem, African tech companies, or remotely for international firms. Their average starting salary of $250 per month—far above the national average—enables them to support themselves and their families, with one-third of their income going back to their households. These women are not just finding jobs; they are launching real careers in cutting-edge fields like AI and software development, proving that the future of tech must be diverse, inclusive, and global.
