Impact Story
In 2007, as I began studying medicine, I found myself lying on my bed, wondering if life was worth living. Years of bullying had taken their toll, and the hurtful words of my classmates echoed relentlessly in my mind. I questioned why life felt so painful, but thankfully, a professor noticed my struggles and helped me find the support I needed. While the pain didn’t disappear entirely, I learned how to cope and rebuild.
In 2012, I had the opportunity to present at the United Nations about Santiago, a 12-year-old boy hospitalized for anorexia, overlooked by everyone around him. That moment reinforced my commitment to ensuring that no young person goes unnoticed or unsupported.
This is why I founded Welbin—to help every student get the support they need, when they need it most. Through innovative tools, Welbin empowers schools to track, analyze, and improve student well-being at scale. With our combination of consulting services and our new SaaS platform, we’ve delivered over 7,000 data-driven analyses to schools and are actively monitoring the socioemotional well-being of more than 6,000 students.
