Organization Details

Zimba Women is a social enterprise in Kampala, Uganda that provides tools and technology platforms, business training, mentorship, business development and networks to improve the livelihoods for women in under-served communities in sub-Saharan Africa.

Zimba Women is currently working with over 10,000 female entrepreneurs from different African countries, Zimba women has created employment opportunities for women by easing their access to market for goods and services they produce using e-solutions and digital marketing like the Zimba Mart E-Commerce platform to improve affordable market accessibility and capacity building. Through capacity building with these women, they can grow their businesses, access capital and eventually explore alternative markets online boosting not only their local but also their international export competitiveness. Zimba Women is also focused on girls and women in STEM careers

 

Impact Story

We exist to make sure that women are not left out economically and we do this by providing entrepreneurs access to technology to support their businesses, networking, and mentorship opportunities, we also make sure that girls in STEM from high school, university and early career are supported so we have a digital ecosystem of women developing tech solutions for other women
