Organization Details
SHANTI is a Tunisian association committed to developing innovative and creative solutions to social, economic, cultural, and environmental challenges. Founded with the vision of fostering a solidarity-based and inclusive society, SHANTI promotes equal opportunities and access to rights.
We support social and solidarity economy (SSE) actors and individual project leaders, offering services such as capacity building, funding, networking, and action research. SHANTI also takes a proactive role as a social entrepreneur, managing its own initiatives to drive systemic change in the craft, tourism and care sectors.
Impact Story
SHANTI aims to support individuals who are excluded from economic opportunities and those who lack access to growth opportunities, fostering an inclusive and equitable society. SHANTI provides direct services to various marginalized groups, including women in vulnerable situations, such as women involved in handicrafts and those working in the care economy. SHANTI also supports young entrepreneurs, offering them incubation and financial support to help them start and grow their businesses. Young farmers in southern Tunisia are another beneficiary group, who SHANTI helps to enhance their agricultural practices and access better opportunities.
