BrückenBauen ist eine gemeinnützige Organisation, die sich für Chancengleichheit und Diversität einsetzt, sich gegen Diskriminierung ausspricht und durch den Dialog Vorurteile abbaut!
Wir setzen seit 2016 den Rahmen für Projekte in Form von Weiterbildungen und Workshops, Veranstaltungen und Ausstellung sowie interkulturellen Treffen.
Denn: Brücken baut man von beiden Seiten!
Impact Story
I started BrückenBauen out of my voluntary commitment by working with unaccompanied young migrants when starting intercultural training for migrants. Given the significant support and demand from welfare organizations such as Caritas and Diakonie, I founded BrückenBauen in September 2016. Since then, I have managed to initiate different projects, oversee a team of more than 10 employees, and cultivate a community of more than 80 volunteers nationwide supporting BrückenBauen in our efforts against discrimination and for greater social justice.
Through the project 'AugenBLICK mal!' that uses virtual reality for anti-discrimination work we initiated a strategic shift of our organization towards the use of innovative approaches to combat discrimination.
We have been using virtual reality in trainings for administrational staff and police departments germanywide which allows us a great impact to prevent discrimination in the public sector.
