Why SharitySpace now?
Categorical, siloed, and donation-centric solutions have been the norm for decades, providing temporary support, but lagging in understanding the donation recipients’ needs and complexity, and with that the actual effectiveness and true impact of a donation on a person’s/ family’s broader economic hardship.
The current marketplace consists of many checkout donation products - e.g. SMS giving, cash register round-up, online CC donation options
However, no solution is truly beneficiary-centric and lets a “person in need" reach out and advocate for themselves - allowing them to specifically address their challenges/situation, so they can receive targeted help with what is needed most urgently. (SharitySpace/ Attest Research 2021)
Impact Story
Leveraging advancements in technology, in particular through AI, is creating an opportunity to pivot and evolve a new generation of donation solutions, to connect and guide people in need to actively build a path out of their hardship, while at the same time, eliminating serious pain points in donating (lack of transparency, loss of value), which have continuously been creating mistrust and a decline in everyday giving.
