Foundation for Mother and Child Health - India
Organization Details
Founded in 2006, FMCH aims to eradicate malnutrition in underserved communities.
At the Foundation for Mother and Child Health (FMCH), our core mission revolves around tackling maternal health and malnutrition issues within vulnerable communities. Our approach is grounded in providing families with contextual, timely, and actionable information and services. By doing so, we foster health-seeking behavior and encourage nutritious food choices, which are critical in enhancing maternal health, reducing malnutrition in children, and ultimately breaking the cycle of poverty.
Recognised for excellence, we've earned the CSR Health Impact Gold Award, won the Data4GoodExchange competition, and been part of the N/Core accelerator program and the esteemed Mulago Fellowship (2023).
Impact Story
FMCH ensures families have access to high quality, consistent systemic care during the first 1000 days of the child’s life. We have impacted close to 150,000 children & families directly, worked with over 2500 Anganwadis (Childcare centres) across 3 states, bringing down malnutrition among children from 25% to under 5%. They are expanding rapidly into newer geographies by working with the government system.
