Organization Details
We For All Rwenzori-WEFORI is an LGBTIQ-led rural grassroots organization that was established in 2020 and operates in the Rwenzori region, Uganda.
This organization aims to empower the LGBTIQ community in Rwenzori sub region, Uganda through services, skills and advocacy to enable them defend their rights and wellbeing in an organized manner.
We strive to improve LGBTIQ+ people’s access to SRHR and HIV/AIDS information , Economically empower them through skills and knowledge, improving access to justice and also prioritize safety and protection of LGBTIQ+ people in Rwenzori sub region, Uganda .
Impact Story
We have successfully carried out an activity on safety and protection of LGBTIQ+ community in Rwenzori sub region, Uganda that was conducted between March and July 2023 .
The objective of this activity was to offer temporary shelter to the victims of the ongoing anti-homosexuality campaign in Uganda and to create strategic safety linkages for support to the victims of this heartbreaking law
Achieved output: 16 victims of anti-homosexuality campaign violence accommodated at WEFORI shelter and 22 victims others reached and supported with supplies.
We have supported LGBTIQ people with SRHR and HIV information and supplies like condomes, lubricants, PEP and PrEP services
