Organization Details

Dawa Mkononi is a healthcare technology company that specializes in providing convenient access to essential medicines and healthcare services. We offer a user-friendly platform for clients to order medicines and have them delivered directly to their doorstep. Additionally, we provide access to credit financing for medication purchases and prioritize the delivery of authentic, high-quality medicines. Our aim is to improve healthcare accessibility, affordability, and convenience for individuals and communities, ultimately contributing to better health outcomes.

Impact Story

  1. Improved Access to Medicines: We currently service more than 2,000 businesses in the country and provide them with an easy way of getting medicines, and making payments. By expanding our presence to underserved regions like Mwanza and Mbagala in Dar es Salaam, we're increasing accessibility to a wide range of medicines for low-income populations. 

  2. Job Creation: With our projected growth and expansion plans, we anticipate creating more employment opportunities, contributing to economic empowerment within our communities. We now have created employments to more than 75 youths in Tanzania.

  3. Enhanced Healthcare Delivery: Through initiatives like improving delivery times and providing educational content in delivery kits, we're enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of healthcare delivery, particularly in postnatal care and vaccination.

  4. Financial Inclusion: Our efforts to improve access to credit financing through partnerships with banking institutions aim to address the challenges faced by clients in accessing funds, fostering financial inclusion and empowering individuals to access essential healthcare services. To-date, we have provided more than $3M in credit financing. 

Overall, these initiatives demonstrate our commitment to creating positive social and economic impacts, improving healthcare outcomes, and fostering inclusivity within our communities.
