CarbonBright is a pioneering tech startup set to revolutionize how CPG companies approach supply chain sustainability. CarbonBright's platform offers an automated solution for calculating product-level impact metrics at scale. By combining one of the largest proprietary databases of product and supply chain data, with an environmental modeling engine built on AI, we’re able to instantly measure a product’s impact using a bottoms-up approach, even when primary data is fragmented or missing. CarbonBright’s platform immediately provides transparency into product environmental impact across thousands of products, and as a result, it's faster, easier, and more cost effective for organizations in the CPG industry to identify their emissions 'hotspots', and take action to transform the sustainability of their products.

Consumers around the world spend $28T on consumer packaged goods every year - things you buy and use every day, like food, home care and personal care products.It's for this reason that the CPG industry is responsible for almost 60% of the world’s GHG Emissions, Unfortunately, not enough is being done to reduce it - less than 20% of the organizations that have set net zero targets, have made any progress. Why is this? Well you can’t reduce what you can’t measure - and measuring product level emissions through supply chains is extremely time-consuming, costly, and not scalable. At CarbonBright we’ve developed an innovative solution to measure product level emissions at scale, providing brands, suppliers, and retailers with clear and scientifically based impact data that helps them make educated decisions on how to reduce their impact.
In enabling suppliers, brands and retailers in the Retail CPG industry to rapidly measure the environmental impact of their product portfolios at scale, CarbonBright paves the way for the reduction of product-level GHG emissions (Scope 3). By identifying emissions ‘hotspots’ at the product level, and providing specific recommendations to reduce emissions, CarbonBright’s customers are able to implement specific reduction initiatives, such as substituting alternative ingredients, packaging, and other sustainable innovations. We estimate that over a ten year period, we will directly enable organizations to reduce >100 MtCO2e from their Scope 3 Emissions.
